JAWS For Windows Is Ready



JAWS For Windows (Job Access With Speech) is a piece of software called a screen reader which allows a blind or visually impaired person to utilise a Windows based PC. Its built-in synthesiser means it will run on any computer running Windows and has a sound card and speakers. Headphones can be plugged in and the screen turned off for extra privacy while working. It literally takes minutes to install and no sighted assistance is required for installation.

Does JAWS Bite?



Getting to grips with a computer can be a daunting enough process but if at the same time you are trying to master a new piece of software the user could be forgiven for thinking that JAWS is coming to get them. This is simply not the case. If you can use a PC you can use JAWS and if you are starting from scratch, you can learn both in sync in little extra time. Our JAWS training courses are delivered by a JAWS user with over 12 years experience of the software. They can be delivered in group settings or on a one-to-one basis. No prior level of PC or JAWS knowledge is required and we will facilitate all levels of competence and ability.

When a course is booked, an assessment is carried out so the course may be best designed to suit the needs of the client. Courses are tailor made according to the outcome of the assessment. We know one size does not fit all.
